Young ACT supports a flat tax rate of 17.5% so every Kiwi fairly pays the same proportion on their income. A flat tax rate also removes bureaucracy and potential loopholes used to avoid taxes.

Young ACT believes strongly in a free and open market, including foreign markets. YA supports ACTs policy to remove all tariffs on imported goods. This will ease the cost of living crisis and make imported products up to 10% cheaper.

Individual liberty and bodily autonomy are crucial elements of a free society whether that be access to abortion, euthanasia or different expressions of identity. We should not allow the government or zealous groups to decide what is best for free-thinking individuals.
